Here you will find important information about the RUN ARMAGH race series of events - please check back regularly to be kept up-to-date with how the organisation of the event is going.

Start time
10K start time 14:00, on College Hill, outside Armagh Planetarium
5K start time 14:10, on the Mall East

Distance
10 kilometres (6.22 miles) or 5 kilometres (3.11 miles)
Course will be measured in kilometres, with signage at 1 kilometre intervals

10K Entry fees
£15 affiliated (member of a licensed athletics or running club)
£16 non-affiliated (not a member of any club)
Late entry fee will be £20 and will take effect one week before race day.

5K Entry fees
£10 affiliated (member of a licensed athletics or running club)
£11 non-affiliated (not a member of any club)
Late entry fee will be £15 and will take effect one week before race day.

Entry closing date
Online entry will remain open until the evening before the event.
Entry on the day will also be accepted.

Sponsorship and Fundraising
Whilst sponsorship/fundraising is not required, additional funds raised through sponsorship and fundraising would be much appreciated by the charity and would be added to the final total raised by the event.
Any monies raised for the events chosen charity, Cardiac Risk in the Young, can be handed into the race organisers during registration or via post after the event.

Race head quarters & Pack collection
Race HQ will be located in The Royal School Armagh, on College Hill.
All pre-registered runners will collect race packs (which includes race bib number, safety pins, individual timing chip) from HQ on day of race, so please allow time for this.

Toilet and changing facilities
Toilet facilities will be available within the school for use before and after the race.  Basic changing is available within the toilets of the school.

Car parking
Free car parking will be available within the grounds of The Royal School, on the outskirts of The Mall itself, and the Mall West car park (adjacent to Emerson's and Sainsbury's supermarkets); all of which are short walking distance from Race HQ and the starting line.

Awards and prizes
As RUN ARMAGH is primarily a charity fundraising event - we only offer prize funds for the Top 3 Men and Top 3 Women, and no prizes are in plan for category positions.

Age restrictions
10K - 15 years and above (on race day), and in good physical health.
5K - 11 years and above (on race day), and in good physical health.

If you have any concerns regarding your health, please consult your Doctor before entering.

Race results
Race results will be posted on this website shortly after the race. You will have the ability to search using surname, gender and/or race number.

Event photography
The official event photography will be provided by RHG Photography who will be taking shots at both the starting and finish areas.  An online gallery will be available soon for you to browse the event pictures.

First aid
First aid facilities will be provided by St Johns Ambulance and will have both first aid volunteers and an ambulance.

Race timing
Accurate race times for the 10K event will be provided using ChampionChip technology. Each runner will have a chip which will record their own individual time.  The 5K event is not timed.

Race registration is available here via this website.  Race payment can be via PayPal or by sending a cheque/postal order in the mail.
To reduce overheads, all correspondence with us will be via email, which will include race entry confirmation, news/update notifications etc.

Course measurement certificate
The 10K course has been professionally measured and verified by John T Glover of the Road Running Course Measurement Council for the UK.

The 5K course is not professionally measured, but has been mapped 3 times using a Garmin 205 GPS running watch.
